Monday Afternoon

It was actually a nice day to walk the streets of Banff and meander through the stores. Then we took a drive and stopped at the Cascade Gardens ... very peaceful and beautiful. Continued to the golf course ... amazing. 18 holes is $250 and 9 holes is $105. Will do 9 holes next time. Stopped at Bow Falls and where the Rocky Mountain Raft Tours begin ... will do that next time too. Stopped at the Banff Springs Hotel. Didn’t stay long ... not overly impressed and it was starting to rain. Got back to the RV and it started pouring. Poor Keith had to hook up the car in the rain.

Started our trek to Radium Hot Springs. Saw a sign that the highway between Field and Golden was closed so good thing we were going this way. The highway was good and it rained most of the way. Ran into serveral construction stops. We had a few long climbs up the mountain and then some steep declines. Was sad to see some areas destroyed by fire. The sun came out as we approached Radium. The campground is in a valley ... quite the drive in. It’s a nice campground ... we thought it would be fancier. Putting the slides out because we are here for two nights. Met a nice guy beside us from Saskatchewan. Teased us about the Bombers.

The main atttaction here is the hot springs. There are some hiking trails and a small town. It is 4:00 and 13 degrees. Supposed to be sunny and 15 tomorrow. Hoping to try the hot springs tonight.
