Thursday Adventures

We went to the Peachland shopping area for breakfast at Bliss Bakery and to pick up some snacks for our visit with Auntie Bev and Uncle Don. Love this bakery ... had a ham and cheese croissant and coffee. Such a beautiful place and friendly staff. Then we went to wash the car and pick up flowers. We met the nicest young ladies at the flower shop (Passionate Blooms) and one of them had her little dog with her. He was a rescue from a puppy mill in Taiwan. He was a stud and lived in this little cage. She has had him for over a year and he is four. He had to learn how to be a puppy and was so excited to be on grass. She named him Sushi. He was the sweetest little dog and snuggled into my neck when I held him. I could have taken him home. They made us the most beautiful arrangement of fall colours for just $35.

We had a lovely visit with Auntie Bev and Uncle Don. I didn’t take too many pictures outside as it was raining. We didn’t realize that their actual 60th anniversary was today.  I took a picture of their wedding photo. We didn’t stay too long as Uncle Don is still recovering from his surgery. We stopped by Bear Creek Campground just down the street from them. They are upgrading the campground and will have full service sites next year. They said you have to book the minute the reservation service opens or you won’t get a site for the season.

We took a drive to Volanic Hills Estate Winery as we thought Julie was working. Unfortunately it was her day off, but we still decided to taste some wine and gave lunch. Found a Merlot we liked. Lunch was fabulous. We shared a chicken wrap, quinoa salad and sticky toffee pudding. The waiter told us that the trick to tender chicken is to coat it in mayo before cooking.

We wandered through some shops in Peachland and came back to the RV to rest. FaceTimed with Kristie and Sophie. Talked with Nancy and made plans for Saturday.

Going for a quick walk and then going to relax and watch a movie. It has rained off and on all day and has been chilly.
