Brrr ... was a little chilly and damp this morning. Went for a walk through the campground and this long hike up the hill to the kids play structure. We were winded at the top! Took a drive to the visitors centre and picked up a few brochures. Looked at the animals they had on display. The lady said there really isn’t much to do in the town of Radium Hot Springs except for the hot springs, hiking, canoeing or golfing. Recommended to take a drive to Invermere.
Stopped along the highway to take some photos. Invermere is a tourist town with a pretty downtown. Stopped at the bakery for a cinnamon bun and coffee. Met our campground neighbors there. Also met a nice lady who told us all about their group, where they are staying and places to eat. We shopped the downtown area. The store owners were very friendly.
Stopped at a golf course on the way back and sat on the patio to have a beverage and chicken wings. Very warm out ... 15 and sunny. The weather has been changing by the minute. The golf course is beautiful. The waitress asked if we have seen any big horn sheep and we have not. She was surprised as they are everywhere. She said they stop traffic on the highway and sometimes sit down in the middle of the road. There is nothing much you can do but wait as blowing your horn doesn’t bother them.
Relaxing now and will head to the hot springs shortly.
