Thursday Adventures

We got up at 7:30 so we could take the dolly in to have the bearings fixed. Had a hard time finding Castlegar Muffler but with the help of a few people we got there. The GPS was confused. Went for a ride to get breakfast and browse in a few stores. It is cool and rainy ... 6 degrees. They were kind enough to look at the dolly right away and were able to re-greased and reset the bearings for $72. We were on the road at 11:30 ... up into the mountains we go.

The drive is like a long roller coaster ride ... you slowly go up the mountain for miles and then go down into a town and then back up again. We drove past Salmo and stopped in Creston for tea. There are black clouds behind us and the wind is picking up so we are high tailing it out of here. It’s 1:51 and we are heading to Cranbrook.

The drive to Cranbrook was nice and relatively flat. Part of the road was recently resurfaced. The rain has stopped and the sun is poking out. Drove through a little place called Moyie ... it is a cute place along the water. We lost an hour along the way.

We caught up to the rain again and arrived at the KOA in Cranbrook at 4:36 and the rain has stopped and the sun is poking out. The campground is a bit out of town but great for RVs ... level pull through sites. There is a casino beside us so we are going to check it out. Hoping to watch the Jets game tonight.
