Monday evening

Turned out to be a beautiful evening ... sunny and 14. Took a drive to the hot springs and snapped some photos of the campground from above. Enjoyed the hot springs for about an hour ... so relaxing. They change the water every day. For safety reasons they have to use chlorine but you don’t smell it when you are in the water. The water comes out of the ground at 114 degrees F. It is chlorinated and enters the hot pool at 103 F. The cold pool is 84 F. The water contains sulphate, calcium, bicarbonate, silica, magnesium, sodium, chloride, fluoride, nitrate, alumina and iron oxide.

Hot springs are a rich source of sulfur and its healing benefits include treating skin irritations and infections such as rashes and eczema. Sulfur-rich hot springs are also thought to help treat dry scalp, arthritic pain and internal problems such as menopausal symptoms and digestive disorders.

Here are some of the many health benefits of going to a radium hot springs resort.

  • Increased blood circulation. The mineral-rich hot water of the natural springs increases your heart rate and hydrostatic pressure. ...
  • Soothed muscles. ...
  • Accelerated healing. ...
  • Relaxed state of mind.
